On March 25th, come join the Criminology Student’s Association and Millhaven Lifers’ Liason Group at The Great Canadian Cabin for our annual fundraiser in support of the Lifers Group. The theme… Ghosts of 101 Weeks Past. That’s right- that means you need to pull out your old 101 week shirt, bring your friends, bring your classm…ates, bring your co-workers, and I guess you can bring your mom if you really want. And party like it’s 101 week all over again. Can’t find your 101 week gear? That’s alright, we will have old Crim 101 week gear on sale. Not in Crim? That’s alright, we still love you. Come on out! Unless you go to Carleton… Tickets are $5, you can buy them in advance from the CSA office (DMS 2154) when they become available or from Lifers Group members. Paying at the door is also an option. End the year off right! Doors open at 9!

On March 25th, 2011, the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa will be holding its sixth-annual Relay for Life!

This event is a 12 hour walk-a-thon to raise funds for cancer research. Relay for Life is an all night event where those who have been affected by cancer come together, and it is highlighted by live entertainment and the incredible spirit of cancer survivors and their friends.

Get Wild with your friends in Social Sciences.
It’s the annual Social Sciences Ball – filled with fun, excitement, laughter and other memories you won’t remember the next day.
Mark March 19th 2011 in your calendars (and while you’re at it, book off the next two days to recover).
Tickets are the cheapest and most accessible they’ve ever been at $30 a person.
With this, you get dinner (chicken or vegetarian – please specify if you hav…e any dietary restrictions), entertainment, complimentary beverages (while quantities last!) and transportation to and from the venue (buses leave at 630 SHARP from Thompson Residence).
19 + event (because we’re giving away drinks. But first years, it’s something to look forward to for next year!).

Come out on Friday, March 11 to find out the results of this year’s criminology elections and party with your new exec! This year, we are holding the elections pub at 1848 (in the University Centre) from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M. (all ages during this time). There will be last minute voting from 5-6 P.M., with the results of the elections being announced shortly thereafter. If the sheer thrill of university politics isn’t enough to get you to come out on a Friday night, there will also be free finger foods and Toonie Tuesday drink deals ($2 half pints all around!) to sweeten the deal. This is a FREE event open to all students at the University of Ottawa. Hope to see you there!

The Criminology Students’ Association will be having their executive elections on the 9th, 10th and 11th of March. Voting will take place in the DMS lobby on March 9th from 10am to 4pm, March 10th from 10am-1pm and 2:30pm-4pm, and March 11th from 10am to 5pm. The results will be announced at an elections pub from 5pm to 7pm on March 11th, location to be announced.

A candidates’ meeting will be held at 5:30 P.M. in the CSA office to go over the election procedures.

Party it up in the UCU on Saturday night!! That’s right! We’re converting the main floor of the Uni Centre into one giant club and rock scene. We will have two stages with great bands and DJ’s performing all night!
